What is Inlay Cutting Board
The design on inlay cutting boards is the combination of contrasting wood types engraved in male & female shapes and mirroring one another. Dealing with wood we are limited to the natural colours of different trees. We, mainly, use walnut, maple, oak, cherry and some exotic types of wood like padauk, yellow heart, purple heart, osage, wenge.
Complex Inlays
We have mastered the process of wood inlays to a level when we can inlay into an inlay. This allows the creation of complex designs with multiple wood types and colours.
The image demonstrates Lord Shiva’s third eye (cutting board) combined in 4 different wood types (maple, walnut, cherry, padauk) inserted into one another on about 1.5 square inches surface.
Predesigned Cutting Boards
You can always order your design on our boards or choose one of our predesigned cutting boards made to your sizes. Even these boards can be customized to your needs.
